Breakdown of Reality

               Wayne stood at the door to the kitchen. He watched Yoshimi pull the vitamins out of the cupboard. He admired her toned arms as she grabbed a glass, filling it with water. She turned and flashed him a grin as she tossed the pills in her mouth and washed them down with the water. She was wearing her track suit from her morning workout, yellow with a blue stripe down the side. She frowned as her beeper went on off on her side.

               “Damn it,” Wayne said, “I wish the city didn’t have to work you hard.”

               “I know babe,” she said, flashing him an apologetic grin, “It really is some shitty hours.”

               “Not to mention how hard you train,” he said, continuing his rant.

               She shrugs, moving to jump in for a quick shower and change into her work uniform.

               “Whatever babe,” she said as she slid under the stream of water, “I’ve got to condition my body, you know that.”

               “Yeah,” he responded, a little dejected, “I know.”

               She stuck her head out of the shower and flashed him a silly grin.

               “After all,” she said, “You know how demanding it is to defeat those evil machines.”

               Wayne nodded, accepting defeat in this situation as she slipped her head back into the shower.

               “I know babe,” he answered, leaning back on the door frame to the bathroom, “And at least I’ve got you protecting us, you won’t let those evil robots defeat us.”

               She stepped out of the shower, grabbing a towel and drying off. She moved into the bedroom slipping on her yellow spandex costume she used to fight the evil robots that were programmed to destroy us. She had to be strong to fight them, which is why she had her conditioning, her vitamins, and her black belt in karate.

               Wayne gave her a quick kiss as she dashed out the door to do her duty, protecting Wayne and the rest of humanity. She knew how tragic it would be if those evil robots win, which is why she did everything in her power to make sure it didn’t happen.
